There is still time to sign up for this year’s Welcome Weekend. As the social-media saturated culture of the world around us continues to take on an increasingly strange tilt, our retreat theme, Anchored in Christ, couldn’t come at a more opportune time. I completely understand how hard it is to take a day and half out of the hustle of your life. 

I definitely thought I was too busy to fit it in last year- it seemed like a huge commitment of time, something in short supply for all of us. However, the time invested has returned huge dividends in spiritual growth, groundedness, friendships, and multiple meaningful connections to our church. I am so grateful that I pushed through the “busy-ness” and just showed up in response to the invitation. I can’t begin to express what a blessing it was (and IS) in my life, which has expanded rather than contracted as a result. I’m excited to be on the “other side” of the event, as a member of this year’s planning team.
