When the Easter candle is blessed at our Easter Vigil Mass, the priest uses these words:

Christ yesterday and today
the Beginning and the End
the Apha
and the Omega.
All time belongs to Him
and all the ages;
to Him be glory and power
through every age forever.
Amen

Our time is given us by God. We follow His time as we progress through the Church’s liturgical seasons. Each season has a purpose in God’s “eternal now.” His eternal presence is forever with us.
