Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of our sister in Christ, Alice Marie Brooks, age 78, of Lake Ozark, Missouri who passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Arrowhead Senior Living Community.

Alice was born on July 8, 1945, in St. Charles, Missouri; a daughter of George and Theresa (Hoette) Meyer.

Alice was united in marriage to the love of her life Michael N. Brooks on February 10, 1968. They shared 56 wonderful years together until the time of her passing.

Alice was full of life and enjoyed hosting relatives and friends for weekend getaways, fish fries, and refreshments. Professionally, she joined the IRS when she was 18 years old and retired after over 40 years of service. Alice and her family moved to the Lake in 1977 where they owned and operated a small resort in Osage Beach before moving to Lake Ozark in 1979. She loved boat rides, hiking, fishing, and bonfires on the back patio while watching the sunset. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

Alice is survived by her brothers and sisters Barbra Seiler, Donald (wife Pat) Meyer, Marlyin Geiger, Catherine (husband Denis) Spurgeon, and Norbert (wife Barbra) Meyer; her son Paul Brooks and his wife Kelly; her grandchildren Tatum and Quinn; and many other relatives and friends.

Alice was preceded by her parents George and Theresa Meyer, and a brother Eugene Meyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date and time.
