Roll Call and Introductions:  Present were Linda Adams, Karen Blevins, Karri Brauman, Linda Bukalski, Mel Graessle,  Michele Haggerty, Kelly Hamrin, Deacon Paul Poulter, Marilee Poulter, Barb Steinman

Opening Prayer:  Linda B. opened the meeting with Our Lady of Perpetual Help prayer and shared information about her.

Education Commission:  Committed core team:

Parish Religious Education Director Report:  Michele Haggerty

Gospel Weeklies will be used as new curriculum in 2023-2024. Michele also has a product for parents on upcoming Mass readings.  Wednesdays will be Family Faith Formation starting at 5:15, Mass at 5:30 and classroom time from 6-7.  All will be here at the same time. Classes will be in the church classrooms with confirmation and high school at Bestgen Hall.

Hispanic Sacramental Needs:  Michele Haggerty

Kelly reported many have been caught up on sacraments. Michele will talk to Luis and Rosa.

Steubenville/NCYC:  Michele Haggerty

Michele will check out Steubenville. NCYC — Students signed up are OLOL 19, St Patrick 6, Eldon 1. Students here plan to host the donut Sundays once a month to help defray costs.  They will also have a quilt raffle, selling tickets at donut Sundays.

Adult Faith Formation:  Barb Steinman

Hearts A Fire study — Wisdom and Works of Mercy 10 week course is in progress with 18 signed up and average of 10 people attending each week. 

White House Retreat — Sept. 7-10, 14 attendees and 2 on wait list. 

Kelly reported Pat Metz will be facilitating a study on Heresies, meeting Tuesdays at 10 am.

Family Life:   Karri Brauman

Wedding scheduled for Oct. 21 and some Baptisms this Fall. 

Discussion on the August 22 Queenship of Mary parish feast day.  Novena Aug 13-21.  Members voted to host it on Friday, Aug. 18.

Formed.org and Library:  Kelly Hamrin

Going well but will become 4th grade classroom. Things reorganizing and counters items will be on bookshelf covered by curtain.

Renewal Movement:  Mel Graessle

Mel to meet July 14 with next Welcome leaders — Joan Woods and Joy Corwin. Nov 4 and 5 is weekend. Discussion held and Save the Date notices will start soon.

Advent by Candlelight is Tuesday, Dec. 5. Jeanne Livers is speaker. Planning meeting in August.

Fall Cursillo info in the bulletin and on web.  Ultreya Reunion being hosted by OLOL group on July 9, 3-5 pm

New Evangelization:  Linda Bukalski

Nothing new.

OCI and Catechesis:  Deacon Paul

Deacon and Father meeting to discuss community ad in Aug. and will be in bulletin starting in Aug.

Parish Pastoral Council – Linda Adams

Council met in June. Gay Ann Christy is working on Stewardship items.  New parish directory — 172 families had pictures taken. Baby bottle campaign had over 60 bottles returned. Administration Commission is investigating possibility of handicapped buttons for opening doors. PSR BBQ will be Sept. 6. Possibility of an Advent presentation on Our Lady of Guadalupe. Discussion on review of Commission charters. Linda A. is working on this. Next Pastoral Council meeting will be Aug. 24. Let Linda A. know of anything to go to them.

Coordinators for Key Responsibility Areas:

1.1 Order of Christian Initiation of Adults:  The preparation for initiation into the Church for adults and children of catechetical age will be a special ministry of the commission, ensuring that there are catechists and sponsors to accompany the catechumens on the way to full initiation in to the sacramental life of the Church. Deacon Paul Poulter

1.2. Welcome (Christ Renews His Parish) and Renewal Movements:  The coordinator for renewal programs identifies, introduces and supervises the various renewal programs that are available to parishioners. Melodi Graessle

1.3. Marriage Preparation, Baptism of Infants and Formation for Family Life:  The coordinator for marriage preparation, infant baptism and formation for family life serves a foundational role in building up the domestic church in the home.  Karri Brauman

1.4. K-12 Religion Classes:  The coordinator for the religious education of the youth has one of the most essential roles to play in faith formation. Michele Haggerty

1.5. Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation:  The coordinator for sacramental preparation is a significant role along with the classroom catechists. The coordinator serves as an advisor, a facilitator and leader especially in ensuring that every person has access to sacramental catechesis at the appropriate time or remediating situations where a sacrament is lacking in the lives of the faithful. 1.6. Adult Faith Formation: The Coordinator for adult faith formation initiates programs that Invite and enable ongoing conversion to Jesus in holiness of life; promote and support active membership in the Christian community; and call and prepare adults to act as disciples in mission to the world.  Barb Steinman

1.7. The New Evangelization:  The coordinator for the new evangelization seeks out those who have not heard, or have forgotten, ignored or rejected the Christian message. Linda Bukalski

1.8. Parish Faith Formation Library:  The Church has been and will continue to be a people of The Book. Therefore it is essential that literary, spiritual and catechetical materials be made available for all parishioners of all ages. Kelly Hamrin

1.9. Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life:  The coordinator for vocations to the priestly and religious life informs, organizes and leads the parish in regard to ensuring that the Lord’s call to pray for more workers in the vineyard is heard by each parishioner _______
