Family Faith Formation
Parish Mission
We are not done yet! Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? That is our theme for the Parish Mission that begins during regular Masses on Saturday and Sunday, December 9 &10. Then from Monday, December 11—Wednesday, December 13 the Mission will be held during Mass at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served afterward.
I realize that I can take comfort in knowing that I’m “not done yet”. This gives me hope that I can work through some of the messiness of my life in order to be closer to our Lord!
Please plan to join us as a family.
Planning for the New Year
This past Wednesday was the last FFF class of 2023. We will start back up for the new year on Wednesday, January 3 with Mass at 5:30. It is strongly requested that you attend Mass as a family. Following Mass, Fr. Penn will be holding Stump the Pastor—Family Style. If you have not attended Stump the Pastor in the past, you will be in for a treat.
Along with attending Mass and staying for Stump the Pastor, there is a little homework assignment. You didn’t think that you would be able to go all the way until January 3 with no family faith assignments did you? As a family, please discuss the Corporal Works of Mercy. Develop a plan for one of the Works of Mercy to live out as a family throughout 2024. Please place your plan in an envelope with your name on the front. I will have a basket ready for you to place them. At the end of the school year, you will be able to retrieve your plan and evaluate whether you have held to the plan you outlined.
