  This week I attended an incredibly informative workshop regarding social media and the dangers for our youth. The company that the diocese has partnered with is Protect Young Eyes. The founder of the company, Chris McKenna, was  great at explaining in detail how to protect our children and grandchildren or any youth in our care from the predators that can so easily get to them. Please take a few minutes to check out what he suggests by visiting his website found in the bulletin.  I would further recommend that you sign up for his newsletter. It will help you stay informed about new apps that your children should avoid and new ways to enhance their protection.

Please remember the following simple ways to serve our Lord and others during the week:

· Make Someone Smile—Monday

· Treat Someone with a Compliment—Tuesday

· Worship with Vigor—Wednesday

· Thank the Lord—Thursday

· Forgive Others—Friday

· Surprise a Loved One—Saturday

· Sing at Mass—Sunday (If you are a Saturday Mass family, swap Saturday and Sunday;)

· Sunday, October 13—Youth Group (8th-12th graders) “Sharing the Good News” 11:00-12:30 in Bestgen Hall

· Saturday, October 19—Women’s Fall Gathering—All ladies of the parish welcome! (Sponsored by the Ladies Welcome Weekend teams)

· Sunday, October 27—Donut Sunday after 8:00 and 10:00 Masses. Donations help defray the cost of sending our high school youth to National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in November 2025.

· Sunday, October 27—11:00-4:00 Youth Group assists with the Fall Festival at the Horse Rescue

· Monday, October 28—11:00-2:00 Youth Group—Hope House
