As you read this, school is out for the summer. How long will it be before your kiddos are saying the dreaded “I’m bored!”? We have the perfect solution! We will be offering Summer with the Be Attitudes and Saints. We will be looking at the Beatitudes and learning how different Saints lived the Beatitudes and how we can live them out in our daily lives. We will meet every other Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 (following 5:30 Mass). Our first Wednesday meeting will be June 4. This program is best designed for children from first grade – fourth grade. Fifth graders through high schoolers will be greatly appreciated helpers. 

Then each month we will begin offering OLL Family Week. OLL Family Week will be year-round and consist of three key events:

  • Third Sunday of each month – Donut Sunday when each youth will receive free donuts after 8:00 or 10:00 am Masses.
  • The following Wednesday of each month – We will be holding XLT Adoration in the evening. It will be a more contemporary form of Adoration from 6:00-7:00 (after 5:30 Mass). This will begin June 18. More information to follow.
  • The following Saturday of each month – the Education Commission will be offering a monthly Supper With The Saints following 5:00 Mass. Our first Supper with the Saints will be on Saturday, June 21. More information on the insert in this week’s bulletin. This will be a fun community builder!

Upcoming Events

  • Sunday, May 25 – Donut Sunday/Youth Sunday after 8:00 and 10:00 Masses. ALL YOUTH get a FREE Donut! Donations help defray the cost of sending our high school youth to National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in November.
  • Sunday, May 25 – NCYC Quilt Raffle. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00. I really want this quilt! Don’t tell Pat; I’ve already set aside a bundle of money for tickets! The drawing will be Labor Day Weekend. Need not be present to win. Lynne, I know you want this too, so you had better pony up!
  • Wednesday, June 4 – Be Attitudes & Saints 6:00-7:00 (after 5:30 Mass)
  • June 8 – June 13 – Totus Tuus (Catholic VBS) at St. Anthony’s in Camdenton. See the bulletin insert for more information.
