Family Faith Formation

This past Wednesday night was our first XLT Adoration. It was totally “AMAZING” as one of my Puerto Rican friends would exclaim as he was learning the language. It was led by high school and some home for the summer college students. Special thanks go out to Luke Wolf, Sara Wolf, Katherine Wolf, and Ainslee Corwin for arranging the singers, designing the flyers, selecting the songs, and promoting the concept. I would also like to thank the singers Mary Long and Grace Maupin. Their beautiful voices added a peaceful backdrop for our Adoration time.

The July OLL Family Week will be July 20-26 and consist of three key events:

• Third Sunday of each month – Donut Sunday when each youth will receive free donuts after 8:00 or 10:00 am Masses.
• The following Wednesday of each month – We will be holding XLT Adoration in the evening. It will be a more contemporary form of Adoration from 6:00-7:00 (after 5:30 Mass). This will be held on July 23.
• The following Saturday of each month – the Education Commission will be offering a Supper With The Saints following 5:00 Mass. The monthly Supper with the Saints will be on Saturday, July 26. This will be a fun community builder!

Upcoming Events

• Wednesday, July 2 – Bee Attitudes and the Saints following 5:30 Mass from 6:00-7:00. This is for grades 1^st – 5^th. We would love to have older students as helpers.

• Wednesday, July 16 – Bee Attitudes and the Saints following 5:30 Mass from 6:00-7:00. This is for grades 1st – 5th. We would love to have older students as helpers.
• Sunday, July 20 – Donut Sunday/Youth Sunday after 8:00 and 10:00 Masses. ALL YOUTH get a FREE Donut! Donations help defray the cost of sending our high school youth to National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in November.
• Wednesday, July 23 – XLT Adoration from 6:00-7:00 (after 5:30 Mass) in the church. This is for the whole parish, particularly teens and young families.
• Saturday, July 25 – Supper with the Saints after 5:00 Mass. Sign up in Fellowship Hall. Pick a saint whose feast day is in the month of July and then come up with a dish that will be shared potluck style that represents that saint. For example, St. Joseph could be Sloppy Joe’s or since many Sicilians believe that St. Joseph is their patron saint, you could make an Italian dish. Please be prepared to share a few facts about the saint that you selected. This is open to all parishioners! It promises to be a fun community builder.
