Michele Haggerty, November 30th

The high school students that attended NCYC from November 20-23 have much to be grateful for through the generosity of our parishioners. Through your kindness they were able to spend the weekend with 16,000 other high school youth from across the country. It was quite an experience for them. The hour plus drive from Jefferson City where they got off the bus to Laurie was amazing. It was filled with nonstop chatter about their favorite parts, meeting the Bishop, watching the Pope on the Zoom call, and meeting people from all over the country. The part that warmed my heart the most was that Adoration was their favorite part. All three agreed about that. It is the most amazing thing. Imagine having 16,000 high schoolers quietly and reverently adoring our Lord at once. It has always been my favorite part as well.
We all have so much to be thankful for. This weekend please tell someone how thankful you are for being in your life! Happy Thanksgiving!
