First Sunday of Lent, Michele Haggerty

Here we are already at the First Sunday of Lent. What sacrifice have you decided to take up for this Lenten Season? Please spend some time discussing as a family the importance of sacrificing in honor of Jesus who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us by dying on the cross.

Remember, we will be having our Family Lenten Activity regarding the Corporal Works of Mercy on Wednesday, March 4 following the 5:30 Mass in Bestgen Hall. Information about the Corporal Works of Mercy as well as information regarding the event itself have been sent home for the past couple of weeks. Please look over the information so that you will be prepared that evening to discuss and implement how you will fulfill one of the Corporal Works of Mercy this Lenten Season. If you need that information, please give me a call at one of the numbers listed below. I will be happy to email it to you. We will also be sending it home next Wednesday.

Upcoming Events

  • Wednesday, February 25 – Three of our FFF youth will be baptized after the 5:30 Mass. Let us welcome Lyvia Ford, Tallula Goforth and Luca Lopez Macias to our Catholic family.

OCIA – This Sunday the following Candidates will go to the Cathedral for the Rite of Election. This Lent they will be focusing intently on the last part of their journey toward coming into Full Communion with the Church on Saturday, April 4th at the Easter Vigil. Please keep them in prayer as they grow spiritually during this Lenten Season.
