Join our Novena Aug. 13-21 and Aug. 22 Celebration at Mass
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 8 am Mass, we will once again celebrate our chosen patronal feast day, the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, and solemn celebration of our patroness, Mary, the Mother of God and Queen of heaven and earth.
To prepare for our feast day, we will hold a novena of prayer daily beginning Sunday, August 13 through Monday, August 21. You can participate in any day of the novena at home or at church.
At home — you can say the full set or short set of daily prayers:
- Pray the prayers, scripture and reflection by viewing or printing from the respective panel for each day shown here: Queenship Novena Webpage
- Pray just the novena prayer and daily reflection by viewing or printing from this link: Daily Prayer and Intentions
- To download the full guide for all nine days, click on this link: Prayer Guide – All Days Combined
It would be wonderful if everyone at least would pray the novena prayer and the daily prayer intention each day.
At church — The novena prayers will be held daily at 5 pm with a simple meal provided afterwards. When Mass is being held at 6 pm on Aug 14 for Vigil Mass of the Assumption and on Wed., Aug 16, a light meal will follow Mass. Evenings will be hosted by the following groups:
- Grateful Living Coordination Team
- Books, Prayers and Jesus Group
- Ladies Auxiliary
- Prayer, Praise and Intercessions Group
- Social Concerns Commission
- Education Commission
- Worship Commission
The novena at church includes Scripture reading, reflection, reciting the Litany of Loreto, songs and praying the Rosary.
Parishioners can sign up to attend on sheets at the Welcome Center in the Fellowship Hall, or you may call the front office at 573-365-2241, X5
It’s not too late to sign up to participate.
