Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

   Created in the image and likeness of God, humanity was never meant to die.  By our sinfulness we chose death, and our image became tainted due to sin.  Each one of us is called to offer ourselves to Him in the image He originally created us, but frequently we offer to God the lesser image: the image of sin.   What image do we offer God?  Do we offer the image of the world and sin, or do we offer God His image and likeness that we were originally created in?  May we live our lives in holiness and therefore be pleasing and acceptable to God.
