Third Sunday of Lent

   May the refrain of today’s Responsorial Psalm remind us that it is God who leads us, bring us to eternal life.  What we call the Ten Commandments are not a list of ten “Thou shall nots”, but, rather, the way and the method of living like God.  God created us in His image and likeness and being fashioned in this way, and making us His people, He gifts us with these instructions, not to burden us, but to free us and to guide us how to live.  May we live always in God’s ways that lead to eternal life.

   Tomorrow, Monday, March 4^th, I will be available for Confessions in the church from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 5^th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The other opportunities for individual Confession will be on Thursday, March 14^th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, March 21^st, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  There will be no Communal Penance Service this Lent.
