Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

   To those who sought out the Lord, He healed them.  Jesus healed the many who came to Him in their sickness, suffering and sinfulness.  He always welcomed them and never turned a person of Faith away from Him.  Do we have the Faith to approach Jesus?  Would He heal us because we were a person of Faith?  Approach the Lord in Faith and you will never be turned away—you will be healed.

   Next Sunday we will have the opportunity to do just that.  The Communal Anointed of the Sick will be celebrated during the 10:00 a.m. Mass.  To receive the sacrament one must be elderly, seriously sick, preparing for surgery, preparing for death, or afflicted with a physical or mental malady.  If you have any questions regarding the reception of the Anointing of the Sick, contact me at the Parish Office.  Members of the Knights of Columbus will be assisting those who desire to receive the Anointing by seating them in the front of the church.
