HISTORY OF OUR LADY OF THE LAKE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 9273

In April 1986, Our Lake of the Lake Council 9273 was formed.  On the Charter were 45 men, with 14 of these being father/son Charter members.  These Charter members were Jim Albers, Frank Andres, James Barry, Richard Beckwith, Harry  Bellmer, Harold Benedict, Henry Berger, Lawrence Cimaglia, Mark Clark, William Clark, Raymond Crick, Lawrence Deves, Thomas Flood, Gerald Frank, Robert Goetz, Gary Gray, Henry Grindel, Jess Gunn, John Hart, Jr., Christopher Hermann, Gary Hermann, Paul Hermann, Victor Hopen, Joseph Hutchison, Charles Jansen, Kenneth Jansen, Rodney Jansen, Thomas Loraine, William Maloney, Frank Mangold, Ben Maniscalco, Michael Myers, William Needham, Thomas Needham, Andrew Novicky, Rev. Joseph Offutt, John Pick, Joseph Schutzenhofer, Jerry White, John Willuhn, Larry Wolf, Keith Wolf, Thomas Wyrsch, and William Yaeger.  Elected as first Grand Knight was Brother John Pick, who with his fellow officers, were installed at the July 1986 meeting by District Deputy, Ray Bemke.  The  Charter of our Lady of the Lake Council 9273 was presented to its members at a special dinner by State Deputy, Bill Boitnott, in October of 1986. Actively involved in the Parish community, the Council has sponsored many varied functions, such as breakfasts, dances, charitable benefits, a C.T.C. Lock-in, etc., as well as being privileged to sponsor two parish members, Dennis Grindel and Thomas Needham in the Seminary. The Council’s active interest is, not only the welfare of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, but also the Catholic Community as well. The Knights of Columbus Council 9273 invites all of the men of the parish to please come and join them.
