Icon Writing Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn more about Icons—and even get to “write” one yourself? Your chance has arrived at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Mark your calendar for September 28–October 3 and join us for a special Icon Writing Workshop/Retreat.
No previous experience is necessary. Participants will follow step-by-step guidance to complete a beautiful icon of Our Lady of Tenderness.
Iconography is a unique blend of art and faith, making this workshop both a deeply spiritual and
rewarding experience.
The workshop will be led by Beverly Layton of Lawton, Oklahoma, who brings 26 years of experience in the ancient art of iconography and nearly 20 years of teaching expertise.
Classes will be held Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to approximately 5:00 PM. The cost is $400 per student, which includes all supplies and a light lunch. Participants need only bring themselves (though a magnifying glass and artist desk lamp are recommended)
Space is limited to 20 participants, so early registration is encouraged.
