It’s not too late to do something for Lent!!
Easter is coming on March 31. We prepare during Lent to rejoice in God’s love at the Resurrection by prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Read more about Lent here: https://ourladylake.diojeffcity.org/lent/
Our Parish has several opportunities for everyone:
- Pick up your free copy of Following Jesus in the Fellowship Hall. These are daily Lent reflections on the Mass readings.
- Join the Tuesday morning study group for a Divine Mercy study.
This morning study group meets at 10 am in the library and is doing a 10-session study: Divine Mercy: The Second Greatest Story Ever Told by Father Michael Gaitley, MIC.
Session 2 starts this coming Tuesday, February 27th. All are welcome. This study program is available on Formed.org which is free through our parish sign up. You can catch up on session 1 there.
- Join Deacon Paul on Monday evenings to view Jesus and the Eucharist.
During this time of Eucharistic revival, Jesus is inviting us to encounter him in our life stories. Join us as we explore the story of salvation, as told through scripture, fulfilled in the death, and resurrection of Jesus, and lived out in the church and the sacraments – especially the Eucharist.
Gather this Lent to watch and discuss the program “Jesus and the Eucharist.” This is a 7 week program available free on Formed.org for groups, families or individuals to use.
If you are interested In leading a group or your existing group or family would like to use this program, contact Michele or Kelly for more information or to receive the participation packets. Also, starting Monday, Feb. 19, Deacon Paul and Marilee will be hosting one session on Monday evenings 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall for those not already involved in a small group or anyone who would like to attend at that time. To sign up or learn more, please call the office or Marilee at 573-378-3419.
