Outreach to Divorced Catholics
Crossing Over the Bridge
When you get married, you believe that it will last a lifetime. Many marriages do but some fail to make it. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church is committed to outreach for Catholics who have gone through a divorce. Through our Education Commission’s New Evangelization movement, Linda Bukalski is coordinating an outreach to divorced Catholics in our local community.
Join us in Recovering from Divorce, a 13-session program that guides you step-by-step down the path to hope and healing. Meeting with others also divorced, this book and videos will help you regain hope and restore peace to your life by helping you more fully tap into the power of your Catholic faith. Based 100% on Catholic teaching and doctrine, this program is in use by parishes throughout the United States and Canada.

Help Wanted - Invitation from Monsignor Makarewicz
At this time, we are seeking parishioners who are interested and willing to assist in building out this important ministry. Prayerfully reflect on this crucial issue that impacts so many Catholics and our community and see how you can help build a bridge to those who need healing and assistance.
Or perhaps someone you know would benefit by directed outreach to a divorced person, and you would like to know more about this ministry to be able to refer someone to it. We would especially need a few people who would be willing to act as a facilitator for a study group, or just someone who would be a faith-filled friend to someone who has begun the journey of healing and reconciliation. Please contact us if you can help.
