• Motion to approve minutes from the last meeting was received via email. Motion to approve: Tony Otto, Second the motion Linda Adams.

5:35 – 5:50Worship Commission Report​​​​​​                   Lorraine

• Commission is working on their updated Charter. At this time, the primary changes will occur in ministry coordination. Recommendations have been submitted to Linda Adams, Pastoral Council Chair and Joan Wolf, Parish Administrative Assistant for review. Following theirreview, the charter will be submitted to the Parish Council and Fr. Penn for final approval and signing.

• The Worship Commission budget was reviewed. The proposed budget will be sent to Kelly Hamrin, Bookkeeper to review and then submitted to the Finance Commission. 

• The Ministry of Art and Environment: the floral crown will be brought out for the May Crowning on May 1, at the Wednesday evening Mass. 

• The Worship Commission has the following ministry coordinator roles vacant or soon to be vacant and could use everyone’s support in finding replacements:

o Ministry of Art and Environment Coordinator, Kathy Cotter stepping down in August.

o Ministry of Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion Coordinator, currently vacant.

o Sacristan and Ministry of Mass Coordinator, currently vacant.

o Alter Servers Coordinator, currently vacant.

o Ministry of Liturgical Support needs additional Usher/Greeters.

• Stacy Gier, Director of Liturgical Music made a request to the Finance Commission to purchase paperback missals for the church.  Our current Gather Books are outdated and has hymns from a banned composer. The Finance Commission approved the request. 

• April 23 will be the 7-year anniversary of PPI. A blessing is scheduled for the group after Thursday Mass on May 16th, with breakfast following.

• A sign-up sheet will be posted outside the chapel on Fridays to encourage more parishioners to commit to an hour of adoration.

• The Worship Commission is reviewing the idea of a Grief Support Group. It has been suggested that the commission work with the Grief Support group at St. Anthony’s in Camdenton. Further discussions will occur to determine if this group should be moved to the Social Concerns Commission.

5:40 – 5:45Stewardship Council Report​​​​​​​       Gay Ann

• Four members of the Stewardship Council attended the first Annual Diocesan Stewardship Conference in April. The conference was extremely beneficial, providing an opportunity to fellowship with other parishes and get new ideas for the 2024 CSR in our parish. The council will be working together with parish councils/ministries, the parish office staff, and Fr. Penn to outline the 2024 CSR activities for October.

• The Stewardship Council has completed their new charter, it has been approved by Linda Adams, Pastoral Council Chair and Fr. Penn. It can be viewed on the newly released Stewardship Council page on our parish website.

• The Stewardship Council is working on a project to refresh the Welcome Center. The project is in the early phases and the council will gather input from all commissions/councils, parish office staff, and Fr. Penn. 

• The council is working with parish commissions/councils and parish staff to update their informational pamphlets. The goal is to have new pamphlet completed by the end of June andapproved by Joan Wolf and Fr. Penn by the end of July. 

• The council is working on creation of their first annual budget. The primary expenditures will be related to supporting the 2024 CSR and project to refresh the Welcome Center. Once complete, the budget will be submitted for review and approval.

5:45 – 5:50   Social Concerns Commission Report​​                      Update Received Via Email

• The OLL Parish Directory project is complete, with remaining directories being distributed.  The commission has started to sell extra directories for $15, through the parish office. New parishioners will receive a gratis copy. 

• The Social Concerns Commission is finalizing their budget and once complete will submit it for final review and approval. 

• Over the past two months the Funeral Dinners, Compassion Meals, and Kindness Meals Ministry has provided 3 compassion meals and 23 kindness meals.

• The Ministry of Health and Spiritual Well Being continues to visit and provide Holy Communion to those that are homebound. This ministry is going well.

• The Ministry for Protection Life (Pregnancy Care Center) will be supporting the Pregnancy Help Center with their baby bottle campaign starting on Monter’s Day, May 12 and ending on Father’s Day, June 16. There will be baskets at each entrance of church with baby bottles to pick up. This year we will be distributing 100 bottles.

• The Ministry to the Community/Advent Tree 2024 will be discussing the 2024 schedule and the increased need for gifts for Helping Hands, Stonebridge, and Ozark Rehab.

• The Ministry of Hospitality and Fellowship (Welcoming New Parishioners), along with support of all parish commissions/councils will host the Annual Welcome Event for New Parishioners in October 2024.

5:50 – 5:55Education Commission Report​​​​​​​            Linda

• Mallory Walsh was received into full communion with the church at Easter Vigil Mass.

• 5 youth were confirmed on Saturday, April 13 at St. Anthony’s and six were confirmed on Sunday, April 14 at the Cathedral.

• 7 youth are scheduled to make their First Holy Communion on Sunday, April 28 at 10 am mass.

• There will be four youth that will make their Sacraments of Initiation: one making First Holy Communion, and one coming into Full Communion on Saturday, May 18 at the 4 pm Pentecost Vigil Mass.

• Our older Youth Group is struggling; the attendance is below 10 each week. The commission is looking into Life Teen for the group. Attendance in the rest of FFF is very good. We are currently seeing more families at mass.

• The last Stump the Pastor for the school year was held on April 17. A cake and punch reception for the Confirmandi and Mallory Walsh followed.

• May 1 is the Vocation Workshop for 6th graders in Columbia.

• May Crowning will be held during 5 pm mass on May 1, followed by an end of year FFF BBQ.

• The Works of Mercy Group has put together a traveling Vocation Crucifix that will begin the weekend of May 4/5. Families can sign up for a week of concentrated prayer for the Vocations.

• The Education commission is working on their budget. Once finalized it will be submitted for review and final approval. 

• The Education Commission Charter has been reviewed, updated, and is pending approval.

• The OLL Women’s Welcome Weekend Seed Team collaborated with the women at Mary Immaculate Parish and the Mission of Saint Rose to host their first Women’s Welcome Weekend Retreat. The retreat was a remarkable success.

• The next Women’s Welcome Weekend Retreat at OLL will be planned in 2025.

5:55 – 6:00Administration Commission Report​​​​​                       Tom 

• Work on the entrance stairs and handrails is complete.

• Work continues to fix the roof leak in the kitchen.

• Kim Dulle is the new Administration Commission Chair.

• Administration Commission is looking for parishioners to join the commission. Their next meeting is May 14 at 5:30.

• Hispanic Ministry is looking for new representatives to join Pastoral Council.

• Charters are all commissions/councils are being reviewed and updated for final approval.

• Brad Copeland, Director of Buildings & Properties for the diocese is working with our OLL Administration Commission to review larger projects required to maintain our facilities. These projects include but are not limited to existing stained-glass windows in the church, stained glass windows for the chapel, brick tuckpointing, and HVAC system.
