Polly Amsinger

Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of our sister in Christ, Pauline “Polly” A. Amsinger, age 79, of Osage Beach, Missouri who passed away on February 5, 2026, at Lake Regional Health System.

Polly was born on August 30, 1946, in Jefferson City, Missouri; a daughter of Leo and Agnes (Baumhoer) Bexton. Polly was united in marriage to Donald Amsinger on October 17, 1970, in Westphalia, Missouri.

Polly was a devoted caregiver whose family was truly her whole world, and she poured her love into every moment she spent with them. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals during a game or two, creating something special through arts and crafts, and tending lovingly to her flower gardens. A faithful and active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, she lived her values through service, generously volunteering her time at the Osage Beach Senior Center. Her warmth, dedication, and quiet kindness touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

Polly is survived by her two sons Mark Amsinger (Sarah) and Matt Amsinger; her two grandchildren Madeline (Logan) and Isabelle; her great granddaughter Sophia; her siblings Tim Bexten (Mary), Dorothy Birge, and Arlene Heckman (Clarence); many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Polly was preceded by her husband Donald Amsinger; her parents Leo and Agnes Bexten; and her siblings Stanley, Richard, Jim, Randy, and Albert Bexten.

Friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Burial will follow in Greenmore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Barnett, Missouri.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in memory of Polly for the flower ministry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 514 Highway 42, Osage Beach, MO 65065 (573) 348-3232. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.

Eternal rest grant to her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
