Roger Sutterer


Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of our brother in Christ, Roger Sutterer, parishioner, who passed away on May 17, 2024, and comfort for his wife, Felicia, and the family. 

Roger James Sutterer, age 81, of Osage Beach, Missouri, formally of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born on June 12, 1942, in Perryville, Missouri; a son of Hubert and Viola (Endres) Sutterer.

Roger was married to the love of his life Felicia Ventimiglia on May 16, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri. They shared 60 wonderful years together at the time of his passing.

Roger grew up on his family farm in Perryville, Missouri. Roger was a hardworking man who always provided and took care of his family. He worked as a Machinist at Boeing for 52 years, while also working at St. Louis Lambert Airport as a parking garage attendant for 35 of those years. It was said he was a handy man and could fix about anything. One of his favorite hobbies was boating, but his most treasured time was spent with his family and especially his grandchildren. Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

Roger is survived by his loving wife Felicia Sutterer of the home; his children Roger Sutterer Jr. of Osage Beach, Missouri, Nick Sutterer (Tami) of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Sheri Palmer (Chris) of O’Fallon, Missouri; his grandchildren Destin Sutterer, Lilli Sutterer, Nikki Sutterer, Maggie Palmer, and Kohler Palmer; his siblings Rose Anna Weber of Perryville, Missouri, Lloyd Sutterer (Ruth) of Union, Missouri, and Shirley Webb of Perryville, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and many friends.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Viola Sutterer; his in laws Joseph and Rose Ventimiglia; and his brother in laws Melvin Weber and Joe Webb.  

Friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 24, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
