Minutes

Attendees: Theresa Brown, Dcn. Jim & Lusica Hankins, Stephanie Koch, Jan Metz, Katie Thurman,

Louise Williams, Susan Zeigler, Don & Joan Woods, Bob & Jackie Hiegert, Dick & Jeannie Freeman.

1. Opening Prayer and Reflection: Dcn. Jim said prayer to open our meeting.   

2. Commitment to Mission prayer: All prayed together.

3. Ministry to Families & Ministry to those In Need (Salva vidaOutreach): Dcn Jim mentioned us

      assisting a person with rent, utilities, and another with car repairs. 

4.         Blood Drive: There is a Blood Drive in Bestgen Hall on March 20^thfrom 10am-2pm. The goal is 22 units. Jeannie, Jan, and Susan offered to assist with checking in and provide support as needed.  

5         Funeral Dinners, Compassion Meals & Kindness Meals: There was1 funeral meal. We have served 16 kindness meals in the past two months along with our 1 compassion meal. Marilyn Daly is currently in charge of funeral dinners until we can find someone to step up and take this over.

6.       Church Marquis:   The marquis signs are installed where the old ones were located.  We are currently soliciting bids in order to power the signs.  The finance council is reaching out to local electrician companies for these bids. Once completed we will have electronic signs outside that can be changed very easily for all to read and enjoy.

7.      Trivia Night: This will be held on February 22, 2025, at 6pm in Bestgen Hall.  The tables and chairs will be cleaned and the set up will take place on Monday, 17 Feb at 9:00am. There are about 16 tables so far. Decorating will occur Friday 21 Feb with food tables being set up on Saturday 22 Feb at 1030am.  

8.      Ministry of Health and Spiritual Well Being: Jan Metz, Diane Richardson, Glenda Hinrichs, Jeannie Freeman, John Akscin, Ann Wallace, and Carolyn Loraine provide great support to this ministry.  If you know of anyone homebound in need of communion, please contact Dcn. Jim.

9.     Ministry for Protecting Life (Pregnancy Care Center): Thursday, 6 March is the PHC Chili Cook-off. It will take place at the Venue in Camdenton at 6pm. They are only allowing 16 chili entries this year. Tickets are $15 each.  Please contact Dcn Jim if you would like to attend.  Checks for this event can be made out to Our Lady of the Lake where Dcn Jim will provide one check for our support.

11.     Prayer Leader: Jackie Hiegert will be the prayer leader on April 10th.

12.     Next Meeting Date: Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 6pm in Fellowship Hall

13.     Closing: Pastoral Plan Prayer—All prayed together with a follow on “Our Father” for Fr. Penn
