Minutes

Attendees: Lusica Hankins, Jim Hankins, Ron Green, Lynn Green, Dick Freeman, Jeannie Freeman, Theresa Brown, Joan Woods, Don Woods, Sharon Konuch, Patty McNally, Gayle Pleus, Bonnie Crissman

1. Opening Prayer and Reflection: – Shared by Theresa Brown: Empty Me, Fill Me, Use Me.       

2. Commitment to Mission prayer – All pray together. 

3. Trivia Night after Action Report: After Action Report summary from Karen Blevins – We raised $5,814 for Idiots Club. We had our largest year of gift card donations with 26 cards solicited. We purchased 10 pizzas and JJ Twiggs donated 10. Woods donated the coffee, 100 dollar-size sandwiches and condiments. The Knights donated lemonade. The Lodge of Four Seasons allowed us to use the stage for free. Look at ending the evening earlier in the future. 

3. Funeral Dinners, Compassion Meals & Kindness Meals: We have made 33 kindness meals, 4 compassion meals, and provided for 2 funeral dinners. Lusica has also made 2 spiritual bouquets for those not requesting meals. This ministry assisted and supported with food for Trivia Night as well.

4. Ministry of Health and Spiritual Well Being – Visits to the homebound are still happening on a regular basis and are appreciated. 

5. Pregnancy Health Center Chili Cook-Off: This event was well attended. Our Lady of the Lake sponsored two tables at $500 along with $465 donated/collected from those that attended.  Lynne Green provided four desserts that raised over $1,000.00 dollars in which one Death by Chocolate was auctioned for $500. The highest dessert bid of the night.  Great job Lynne!  Thank you for your support!

6. Blood Drive – Tuesday, 17 March 2026, in Bestgen Hall at 2pm. Susan Zeigler and, Lynne Green have volunteered to assist.  

7. Great Catholic Parishes—Growing Volunteer Workshop for Parish Leaders: Will be held 11 April 2026 in Bestgen Hall from 9am-3:30pm. Lunch will be provided. All parish leaders and those interested are encouraged to attend this. Msgr. Attended a workshop with this speaker in Jefferson City and he’s very good. All commissions are encouraged to get a table of people together to attend.  

8. Pregnancy Help Center: Baby Bottle Drive is from May 10, 2026-June 21, 2026. We will have 100 bottles available.
