Stewardship Council Meeting: Tuesday, October 28, 2025

Opening Prayer: STEWARDSHIP PRAYER

1. Brief General Updates: 

• Stewardship Charter: The Stewardship Charter, Rev. June 2025 has been given to Deacon Jim to present for further discussion with Msgr. Higley.

• New Parishioner Welcome Dinner: Gathering was a great success again this year.  All councils and commissions were available to talk with parishioners in a round-table format.

• Thank You Notes: There are extra signed cards available if anyone needs them

• Review of Roles and Responsibilities: in preparation for position hand-offs in January will be discussed in our November meeting along with CSR Wrap-up.

• Stewardship Partner Updates:

o Pastoral Council: Jay Bukalski and Brandy Hutzler: Parishioner Patti McNally presented to the Pastoral Council an idea to move the statues on the North Side to the gathering area outside the back entrance of church.  A pictorial rendition was shown and all Stewardship Council members agreed it would be a welcomed update.

o Knights, and Ladies Auxiliary: Gay Ann Christy: Susan Ziegler lead the Knights Coats for Kids event this year and updated us that much needed coats had been delivered and were greatly appreciated.

o Education: Linda Bukalski and Brandy Hutzler: XLT Adoration is developing into a beautiful evening of worship, everyone is welcome.  FFF Teachers have been working with the youth to teach about Saints.  Supper with the Saints this month will be held after 5 pm mass on Wednesday and youth will present their favorite Saints and a food in their recognition.  All are welcome to attend.

o Social Concerns: Susan Ziegler:  Social Concerns in busy preparing for the upcoming Advent Giving Tree and Advent by Candlelight evening.

o Worship and Spirituality: Jennifer Otto: Worship Commission has a new Chair, Linda Ambrozi and a new secretary, Alice Hands.  They are currently working on rebuilding the commission, welcome new members, and are excited for the Advent Season.  Msgr. Greg discussed a special meeting that parish leaders will be invited to.  The meeting will introduce the pending church renovations and allow time for parishioner open discussion.

2. 2025 Catholic Stewardship Renewal: 

• Update of CSR commitments through 10/28/2025: 87 CSR forms have been received.  One more regular week of forms will be reviewed this week and future forms are accepted all year.

• Update for Online Giving Dropdowns (Msgr. Higley): Not discussed

• Pew Clean-Up: CSR materials were collected and pews organized.

3. 2026 Spring Stewardship Conference – Gay Ann will reach out to John at GCP to see if April 11 or 18 isavailable to have a conference at OLL in Bestgen Hall.

4. Decorating Welcome Wall for the holidays: small updates to the Welcome Wall will be made again this year for Advent.  Council members are free to bring items for display.
