Our Lady of the Lake has a reserved spot for the Women’s Retreat each year at the White House Jesuit Retreat in St. Louis. Ten ladies from our parish attended the September 2024 women’s retreat. The 2025 retreat is scheduled for September 11-14, 2024

This retreat is a silent retreat.  The retreat director guides you through a series of conferences.  Plus you have the opportunity to enjoy Benediction, Masses, Rosary, Confession, Sacrament of Anointing, time for personal prayer, discernment, meditation and more.

If you are interested in attending the Women’s Retreat, please contact Barb Steinman at bstein16@charter.net to get your name on the list.

This was my first retreat and what a wonderful weekend it was. From the wonderful ladies that I met to the spiritual renewal that underwent, it was truly life changing! If you are considering attending, do it! whether you are looking to get away from a couple of days to relax or you are having difficulties in your life and need guidance, this experience is for you. I will be back in the future!

I was very blessed to be able to attend the women’s retreat at White House Jesuit Retreat Center in St. Louis September 12-15.  The experience was incredible.  We listened to several very well presented talks based on the teachings of St. Ignatius.  We had ample time to reflect on these and it was evident that the Holy Spirit was truly at work.  We also had much time to use the beautiful grounds overlooking the Mississippi River to grow closer to God.  Within the grounds were beautiful stations of the cross, a Lourdes grotto, an Ignatian history trail, incredible sunrises, a beautiful library with stunning views and an amazing chapel where we spent time learning, reflecting, praying, praising and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist.  The silence of the retreat brought much peace and tranquility allowing for a special closeness to God.  However, there were a few time for fellowship as well!  Thank you to the education commission for organizing, especially Barb Steinman.  I will be forever grateful for this opportunity.
