Minutes for the Worship meeting for February 10th, 2026
1. Opening Prayer: Msgr. Greg opened the meeting with the Hail Mary. The minutes for the Oct. 28th meeting were read and approved.
Gay Ann Christy-Stewardship: Gay Ann talked to the group about a Workshop to be held on Saturday, April 11thin Bestgen Hall at 9:00 until 3:30. The workshop is being held to encourage more volunteers and leaders to join the commissions in place. She said 118 persons filled out the CSR forms in the fall. She said each person should receive a call to let them know we appreciate them and help them get involved. The speaker for the workshop is John Poitevent. John is the Founder and Director of Great Catholic Parishes. All the Commissions, the Knights of Columbus, The Ladies Auxiliary, Office Staff, and The High School Youth Group are invited to attend this workshop. Invite eight key leaders from your Ministries to join us for this Leadership experience.
2. Leadership: Core Team: Chair/Vice Chair/Secretary to take over!
a. Holy Communion-Kathy Cotter Kathy will talk to Linda Ambrozi to set up some training dates. Kathy is looking for a source to purchase Processional Torches for the servers to replace the candles. She will also order small Holy Water Bottles to be given out on Easter Sunday.
b. Ushers-Jay and Linda Bukalski-Training Date. New ushers will need training. Date TBD. Msgr. Greg said there are training guidelines available to help with training. He will investigate it.

d. Music-Stacy Gier-Unavailable
e. Art and Environment-Joy Corwin In Joy’s absence, Alice read Joy’s report. She mentioned decorating the Altar for Advent and first time to put up the Nativity Scene. We purchased three new trees and discarded the ones that were damaged or didn’t work. We thank Deacon Jim and Phil for putting up the Creche. Next year we will need more volunteers to help with this job, since there is a lot of heavy lifting involved. We wondered if any people signed up for Art and Environment on the CSR forms. We are gearing up for Lent and Easter. Joy purchased a fake rock from Amazon and would like to request funds to buy some more. The natural rocks are so heavy for us to carry. The “Divine Mercy” Painting is finished and ready to be framed. We will need to see where Msgr. Greg wants to hang this beautiful painting. Msgr. approved Joy’s purchase of some more fake rocks. Alice and Kathy will get the Altar ready for Ash Wednesday on Tuesday morning.
3. Calendar-Ash Wednesday/Reconciliation Service-March 18th, Pizza/Soup.
Ash Wednesday Masses are as follows: Wednesday 6:30AM, 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM. All other Masses will be listed in the bulletin. Msgr. Greg would like a large cross installed in the front of the church during Lent and possible another one put at the back entrance. Kathy said there is a large cross in the basement storage. Msgr. said he would talk to Phil about putting it up.
4. Closing Prayer: Msgr. Greg closed the meeting with the “Glory Be To The Father”.
5. Next Meeting: March 5th at 9:30 AM in the library.
Respectfully submitted,
Alice M. Hand
